Kevin Hart made his first appearance last night in Los Angeles at the 2019 People’s Choice Awards after a long recovery from a nearly-fatal car crash.

The American comedian and actor fractured his spine in September of this year. Hart later began intensive physical therapy following the incident.

On Sunday (Nov. 10) the father of three took to the stage at the ceremony to accept The Comedy Act Of 2019 award.

“First and foremost thank God because I definitely don’t have to be here,” Hart said. “Being that I am, it makes me appreciate life more. It makes me appreciate the things that really matter. I want to thank my wife and my kids. They really stepped up for me.”

The comedian who attended the event with wife Eniko Parrish, 35, and his daughter Heaven Hart, 14 added:

“I also want to take the time to thank the People’s Choice Awards, just for this. This is amazing. But more importantly, the people, man. You have no idea the effect that you have on us as entertainers. Your energy, your support, it means the world and I truly want to thank you guys for being there for me in my difficult time. This is special. They all are. I do not take them for granted. Thank you so much. God bless everyone in this room. Peace.”

Miss South Africa wins Miss Universe 2019

Published

Miss Universe, known as the most respected pageant around the globe for its diverse roster of contestants. Each year, women representing 90 countries compete for the international title, and, of course, the diamond-encrusted crown.

Tonight in Atlanta at Tyler Perry Studios, Miss South Africa Zozibini Tunzi, 26, was crowned Miss Universe 2019 with Miss Mexico and Miss Puerto Rico serving as runner-ups. From the moment Tunzi graced the stage she commanded the viewers’ attention but the final round solidified that the Tsolo native didn’t come to play.

The contestants were asked the same question with only 45 seconds to nail their responses –– the pressure was on. The three finalists were asked, “What is the most important thing we should be teaching young girls today?”

“I think the most important thing is leadership,” Tunzi boldly stated. “It’s something that’s been lacking in young girls and women for a long time. Not because we don’t want to, but because of what society has labeled us to be. I think we are the most powerful beings in the world.”

Draped in a stunning sequin gold and silver figure-hugging dress, she accepted the honor of becoming the world’s newest ambassador.

Her online biography reads “She is a proud advocate for natural beauty and encourages women to love themselves the way they are.” Tunzi unquestionably accomplished that goal this evening!

Congratulations Miss Universe 2019, Zozibini Tunzi!

Disney releases first-look trailer for upcoming live-action Mulan remake

Disney

Walt Disney Studios has been working overtime to revive its extensive catalog of animated classics into live-action films – and the latest one to get re-imagined is fan-favorite Mulan –– the story of the Chinese heroine who fiercely defeats evil Hun warriors in order to maintain her country’s prosperity and peace.

Although the production company kept details about the remake tightly under wraps, Disney has now released a first-look trailer, and it looks like Mulan may be one of its best yet.

The tone slithers into darker waters and has more or a serious vibe opposed to the other live-action remakes, but the story seems to remain authentic.

The release date is slated for March 27, 2020. Check out the trailer above.
